2009 Hybrids

For 2009, the pool of hybrid cars continues to grow, and we now see 18 different hybrids on the road. Plus, this model year sees the addition of two viable hybrid pickup trucks: the GMC Sierra and the Chevrolet Silverado. From a compact sedan to a full-size SUV, it keeps getting easier to go green.

The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid has a base price of $35,580 for the 2WD model and $54,210 for the 4WD model. It comes equipped with a 5.7-liter eight-cylinder Hemi engine and a four-speed automatic transmission. EPA city/highway mileage estimates are 20/22 mpg for the 2WD and 20/20 for the 4WD. Annual fuel cost is estimated to be $1,292 for the 2WD and $1,358 for the 4WD.
