As the 2008 models start hitting the streets, the big thing that sets apart what's hot and what's not centers around technology. Through a five-part series, SearchChicago - Autos Editor Jill Ciminillo will give you a virtual tour of next year's tech toys.
In
part four, we see the iPod integration in the Scion xD, which has a base price of $15,170. In addition to a regular auxiliary jack for MP3 players, Scion has a special jack solely for the iPod. Using a cord that comes with the car, you can hook up your iPod and then adjust songs through the audio controls of the car. This is standard on the xD.
Other segments in the series will include a look at the Infiniti EX Around View Monitor and Lane Departure Prevention, Ford Sync, the Jeep Sky Slider Roof and the Chrysler Town & Country satellite TV.
